2. Information Collected or Received
We collect or receive your data in a few ways, including: directly from you, (such as from forms you complete or during registration), indirectly from you (based on your activity and interaction with our Platform or from the device or browser you use to access the Platform), from our sellers that help provide Sunny Shops services you may interact with (such as, for example, for payments or customer support), and from our third party advertising and marketing partners. Sometimes we require certain information to provide you the Platform. Sunny Shops uses the personal information it receives and collects in accordance with the purposes described in this policy.
Registration, Account Setup and Service Usage
In order to contact us via our contact form or create an account on the Platform, you will need to submit a name and a valid email address. If you create an account, these details may be modified through your account profile.
To create a buyer account and place an order (or to place an order through a seller account), you will also need to provide additional information, such as billing and payment information including billing contact name and address and/or a physical postal address.
Upon registration, sellers are required to provide valid documents detailing their health status or carer status. These are required solely for the purpose of verifying your account and will be permanently removed from our Platform and system once your account has been verified. These private documents are stored securely between the time of us receiving and processing them and we will never share them with any third party companies or advertisers.
Once sellers have accessed their account, they will need to provide a shop name and they also have the option to provide personal details for their ‘About’ section of their profile.
Sunny Shops operated by Disability Enterprise LTD is registered with the ICO and takes the importance of handling your personal data very seriously.
Other users may see the date you joined, your ratings, reviews and information relating to items you review, related photos for items you purchased, your profile information, sellers you follow, comments you post in our community spaces, and information you choose to share via social networks.
Sunny Shops automatically receives and records information from your browser, mobile device, voice-activated assistant or Smart TV when you visit the Platform, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data about which pages you visit. This information is stored in log files and is collected automatically, allowing us to operate and continually improve the Platform through analysing and understanding how the Platform works for users and visitors. The information also helps to prevent fraud and keep the Platform secure, to provide advertising, including across your devices, and offer a more personalised experience for members and visitors.
By ‘Followers’, we mean that users with accounts may follow their favourite sellers to receive updates, such as when an item is added to their shop.
We have a legitimate interest in customising your Sunny Shops experience to help you search for and discover relevant and recommended items and we also use this information to help sellers find the best ways to market and sell their items on Sunny Shops.
Data from Sunny Shops sellers
We may receive information from our sellers about you, such as customer service interactions, payments information and delivery information. These details may be required during a Dispute Resolution, for example.
Sellers can add a business name, logo and link social network accounts to Sunny Shops. We do not collect or retain login information for your email service, any device which you use to access the Platform or social network website(s).
When you begin following another member’s activity, they will receive an email notification and you may receive an email notification when they update their store.
If you do not want to be found on Sunny Shops through your social networking connections or name, you can remove these details via your Profile settings. Your name may be replaced by a nickname or alias.
4. Messages from Sunny Shops
On occasion, Sunny Shops will need to contact you via email or Sunny Shops Messages for reasons including marketing, transactions and to notify you or service or policy updates.
